Accommodations
Step back in time with us at The Florida House Inn. The Inn is the oldest continuously operated hotel in the state of Florida, built in 1857 and was originally a a railroad boarding house built by David Yulee. The Inn today offers 17 charming guest rooms, shaded courtyard gardens with our mermaid fountain, breezy shaded porches and balconies, and much more. All guests are encouraged to enjoy the complimentary, continental-style breakfast prepared fresh every morning. We also have a parking lot directly behind the Inn- our parking is first come, first serve. Additional parking can be found in the public parking lot as well as street parking on Third, Fourth or Ash Street.
Please note: The Inn has been updated over the years and is maintained to the best of our ability while also maintaining the charm and history. The owners today also own the local, bustling bar connected by our side courtyard called the Green Turtle where there is lively music and locals and tourists enjoy the atmosphere on a daily basis. The noise ordinance downtown is 11 PM for live music.
There are NO elevators at the Inn. Please keep that in mind when bringing your luggage. We do have four rooms located on the ground level, if you prefer one of these rooms, call the Inn directly!
